Responsible to assist with analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving potential problems with plant operations. An operations engineer must able to effectively work in a team environment both on site with the operations group as well as with contacts at the managed plants. 1. Assist with operations oversight of POET Biorefining plants and prioritize/schedule plant needs based on severity of problems. 2. Stay continuously acquainted with plant production equipment, updates, and schedules. 3. Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise at plants. 4. Complete data analysis of process information. 5. Complete Benchmarking analysis to determine areas of needed improvement relating to plant operations. 6. Interact with suppliers, equipment manufacturers and customers to act as an advocate for the POET Biorefining plants on specific projects. 7. Maximize plant efficiency though teamwork and innovation. 8. Lead and coordinate plant start-ups, training and equipment check outs. 9. Coordinate requests of information from plants. 10. Travel to managed plants will be required for meetings, site visits/audits, and training 11. Develop and provide technical presentations to management and plant employee training. 12. Maintain a team environment with other plant departments.
